Congratulations swap

Yes, as you can see, I have been very much having fun playing in swaps the last couple of months!  Here are some cards I made for a Congratulations swap.  It seems I always need a card for a new baby, a wedding, a graduation, etc. so this seemed like a pretty useful swap to play in.

The first card features on old SU image and some fabulous Graphic 45 paper.  The image is lightly coloured with Copics.

The second card uses an even older SU stamp set, one which (as I recall) was one of the first stamp sets I bought.  LOTS of dimensionals used on here, though it is hard to see that, and I dug out a piece of fancy glittery silver paper to cut out the swirl.

Next is a baby card, the ones I seem to use the most of, and I paired it up with some sweet DP that I've been hoarding, another swirl, and a fancy label for the sentiment.

Finally, the let one using one of my very favourite Mo Manning images, and another fancy label die cut for the sentiment.  Colouring here too is with Copics.

Angel Swap

Here are three cards I made recently for an Angel card swap.

All three were coloured with Copics and used up TONS of glittery Stickles.

The first two used gorgeous images from Lily of the Valley.  I had bought these with the idea of using them for Christmas cards, and it was a bit of a challenge since I wanted these cards to be multi purpose and not Christmas themed.  So I focused on using papers and colours that were more general.

This first one features some gorgeous Graphic45 paper:

And with a different piece of DP, at a different angle:

The second one uses some old DP from SU.  I used Tattered Angels glimmer mist to make the vanilla ribbon coordinate, and made the little flowers myself.

Finally, the last one features a Magnolia image of Tilda with the Violin.  I love this image since it is so versatile!

Back from a long break

I am finally back to blogland after a long break!  Not that there has not been creative output coming out of my craft room, but I have not been interested in fussing with photographing, editing, and posting photos, preferring to spend my time creating.  However, I miss the fun of sharing, and hearing all your comments and ideas, so back I am :-)

Today I felt like working on cards using my fabulous Thomas Kinkaid stamps.  I was inspired when looking online and seeing that Cornish Heritage Farms had finally re-released some of them, and seeing samples by their design team, so made a bunch of quick cards using them today.  I love it when the artwork lets me create a beautiful card in a quick and easy way!!

This first bundle are birthday themed, and involved no colouring:

These next few had minor colouring in the image, generally I picked one colour and item to focus on and give colour to, such as the flowers or water or a tree:

I see that CHF blog has a challenge to do cards this week in black, white and one other colour, so I am playing along with that challenge.  If I win a prize I already have a wish list for new TK images :-)

All the images were stamped using black Versafine on glossy card stock.  The colouring, where I did it was very carefully done with SU markers or else SU pastels.  My Copics make the Verfsafine on glossy card stock run, so I'm glad to dust these other colouring tools off and get a change to use them.
