Chinese New Year - Year of the Tiger

I was at T&T yesterday and noticed there are a lot of decoration starting to be noticeable for the Chinese New Year.  Chinese New Year is coming up quickly, with the big family meals, if I am correct, on the 13th, and the New Years on the 14th.

Now that so many of my friends have passed to me empty "red" money envelopes to make cards with I'm committed to finishing these and sending them off.  I've got 3 done so far, and have another 9 or so to make!  Here is the second one I made, thank you to IVY for the lovely envelope :-)

You'll notice that there is a cute little dancing TIGER on the front, and that's because this is year of the Tiger.  Last week I promised to share a bit more information with you all about this, so I've done a bit of research :-)  Here is a good link for you to read more about the year of the Tiger and see what birth years are Tigers http://www.yearofthetiger.net/

Stay tuned for more Chinese New Years cards in the next couple of weeks :-)

  7. Love this! I have never seen a lot of variety in the red envelopes and I love how you have made these into cards. I am helping my friend plan some craft things for her daughter's class for Chinese New Year.
