Framed Winter corsage

Monday's done, and I'm counting the days to my Christmas holidays....only 10.5 more workdays!  and then I get 23(oops, got  little carried away there LOL!) 17 days out of the office before I go back...Yay!!!  Think of all the cards I'll get made!

Anyway, on that happy note, here is a festive card I created recently using the new frame die from Heartfelt Creations.  It was the first card I made using it, and though I had a tough time photographing it, it is very decadent and beautiful in person.

Products used:
HCD 708 Fancy Window/Frame Die
Autumn Corsage Product ID: 1229G
Holly Background Product ID: 998X
Essential Glue Pad Product
Glitter Turning Leaf Pee Wee Kit
Super Seal

Instructions:
Stamp holly background image using essential glue pad on to red card stock, sprinkle with red glitter. Spray with Super Seal, and set aside to dry....unfortunately this is the part that doesn't come out so well on this photo, but looks fabulous in person, so don't skip this step!  Then, stamp flower image on to white card stock using black ink. Colour (Copics used here) and then cut out by hand.  The trick to making those berries look extra good is to use a white gel pen to add accents, or add glossy glaze/crystal effects to them, or add red stickles/glitter.  Then set that piece aside. Cut out frame from black card stock using die cut. Apply gold metalic rub on paste to accent.  This stuff is great, I use it all the time and it doesn't take much to get a lot of impact.  I also used it on the edges of the white base. Put pieces together as shown in the photo.

I'm off now, got to work on hubby's advent calendar, but I'll be back at the crack of dawn on Wednesday with another card using this gorgeous frame.
