Ink, Ink, Ink
This card was made with an older retired SU set that I NEVER use, and now I've got ideas coming out of my head for it, and there is a story behind that.
I had some family members over recently for a girls craft day, and started out by explaning all the inks on the counter--use the Memento for this, the Versafine for that, the Versamark for this other thing, the Encore for that other thing....their eyes were glazing over! It wasn't that long ago I only had a handful of ink pads, now I have a drawer.
When I got this image I only had SU black ink, and it was really hard to get defnition out of it, and a nice clear stamped image, so it had been relegated to the back of the cupboard. On this particular day, my MIL pulled it out and stamped the image with the Versafine (these ladies are quick learners!) and when I saw it I was WOWED! What a difference! So then, of course, I had to stamp and create with it :-)
The background is Razzleberry sprayed with Tattered Angels Walnut gold glimmer spray. I sponged three colours of ink to get the antique look - saffron closest to the centre, cocoa on the outside, and creamy caramel in between the two.
I made another of those snowflakes I've been doing lately (see earlier posts for details) glitzed up with some ink on the edges and liquid pearls and a Basic Grey pearl in the centre.
So, my challenge to you is to look in your cupboard at stuff you haven't used in a while, and which might work better for you today (as compared to when you first got it) when used with the other supplies and techniques that you now have.
