Have you played along with Just My Sketches before? It's a newish challenge blog that's quite different than the others, and very fun to play with!
For this challenge site, you are given one of 5 songs to pick from PLUS a sketch. I go and listen to the songs on itunes and let my mind flit to what stamps I have that might work with the ideas of the songs, and then simply follow the sketches, which are great.
So, for this one, I picked the song FROM A DISTANCE by Bette Midler. When I listened to it I heard these words and knew what I would do with the card:
From a distance the world looks blue and green,
and the snow-capped mountains white.
From a distance the ocean meets the stream,
and the eagle takes to flight.
And here's my card:
The image is one from my stash of snagged images, coloured with copics, accented with gold finger paint, and using a white watercolour to accent the snow. I thought the feather caught the idea of a bird flying overhead, too.
I hope you'll play along with us this month!
Great card, and thanks for the link to that sketch site it sounds fun. I think this is perfect to go with that song. Love that image and your coloring.
