Challenge card - Written inspiration

Today's challenge at Paper Sundaes is a fun one to get you thinking of all your favorite books.  The theme is to make a card based on written inspiration--using a book or poem to inspire what you create.

I decided to make a card based on Heidi by Johanna Spyri.  With summer coming, I liked the idea of making a card about a young girl who loves nature and spends her time in mountainous meadows.

This weeks sponsor is Spesch, and I've used one of their images for this card, called Kei with flower.  I coloured her hair brown, like Heidi's, and used bright colours that I like to imagine she wore.

I hope you play along with us, I can't wait to see what written inspiration you choose and how it turns into a card :-)
